📝 Overview

This article explains how to process a partial refund using the software. Partial refunds are done by modifying the price of a specific item during checkout, allowing you to return less than the original amount paid. You’ll also learn how to select the appropriate refund method (tender type) based on how the client paid.

🛠️Partial Refund Steps

Follow these steps to adjust the refund amount, select the correct tender type, and complete the partial refund.

⚠️Disclaimer:

  • Stripe payment processing does not offer partial refunds at this time.

  • The system will default the refund amount to the full or last amount paid. You can overwrite this in the Regular Price field to issue a partial refund.

  • Double-check the tender type reflects the method you’re refunding (e.g., Credit if returning funds to the client’s payment source).

  1. Click the Checkout icon at the top of your software.

  2. Select New Transaction in the top left corner.

  3. Search for a client and click their name.

  4. Click Refund an Item, located under the Search a Service/Product/Package Bar.

  5. Look up and select the specific service/product to refund.

  6. Click Add to Order.

  7. Click Proceed to Payments.

  8. Select return tender type (credit/cash/gift card/custom).

  9. After selecting the tender and confirming the amount is correct, you can click Close Ticket.
