Gift cards are a powerful way to boost revenue and enhance client loyalty. This guide walks you through how to sell, redeem, and manage gift cards across both the cloud website and mobile app.

You can purchase physical gift cards for your business from Beresford Gift Cards by calling them at 248-350-2900 or by emailing [email protected]


πŸ›’ Selling a Gift Card

These instructions explain how to easily sell gift cards in just a few steps by adding them to checkout, entering the card details, and completing the sale.

  1. Navigate to Checkout either from an existing client's appointment or a new ticket.
    ​

  2. Click Buy Gift Card under Add Items.
    ​

  3. Enter the Gift Card #, Amount, and optional Expiration Date (choose β€œNo Expiration Date” if not needed).

    • Gift Card numbers can be up to 20 digits and alpha-numeric (numbers and letters).
      ​

  4. Click Add to Order.
    ​

  5. Click Proceed to Payments to complete the sale.

    • A confirmation popup will appear once the gift card is sold.

  1. Start a ticket via the shopping cart icon or checkout from an appointment.
    ​

  2. Tap Show More under Services and Products.
    ​

  3. Select Add Gift Card.
    ​

  4. Enter the Gift Card ID, Card Value, and optional Expiration Date.

    • Gift Card numbers can be up to 20 digits and alpha-numeric (numbers and letters).
      ​

  5. Tap Add Gift Card, then complete checkout as normal.
    ​


🎁 Redeeming a Gift Card

These instructions explain how to redeem a gift card within the software. You’ll learn how to apply a gift card as a payment method during checkout, enter the card number and redemption amount, and complete the ticket.

  1. Select Checkout.
    ​

  2. Input the clients details.
    ​

  3. Add the services and/or products the client wishes to purchase.
    ​

  4. For an existing appointment:

    • Click on the appointment on the appointment book and click Check In, then Check Out.

    • Click on the Checkout button at the top menu bar and select the client under In Today.
      ​

  5. Click on Proceed to Payments.
    ​

  6. Under Add Payment, select the option for Gift Card.
    ​

  7. Enter the Gift Card # and the amount that the client will use from the existing gift card.
    ​

  8. Click Add Payment.
    ​

  9. You can then close out the ticket as you normally would.
    ​

  10. If there is still a balance remaining on the gift card, you can view that by going to the Gift Cards screen.

    ​

  3. In Payment Details, open the drop-down menu and choose Gift Card.

  4. Enter the gift card number.
    ​

  5. Enter the amount to redeem, then tap Redeem.
    ​

  6. Complete the ticket by closing it out as you normally would.
    ​

  7. The remaining balance can be viewed from the Gift Card page.

  1. Navigate to More, then select Gift Cards.

  2. Search for the gift card and click it to edit. You can adjust the balance, expiration date, and comments, or view its history.
    ​

  3. Navigate back to the Gift Cards screen by clicking the X in the upper left corner.
    ​

  4. Select Options in the upper right to edit gift card settings.
    ​

  5. Here you can:

    • Enable re-selling of cards with zero balance

    • Set and require expiration dates automatically
      ​

  6. Click Save to apply changes.
    ​

  1. Tap on More at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select Gift Cards.
    ​

  3. Select the gift card you wish to edit. You can search for the gift card using the search bar at the top.

  4. From here you can tap on the specific details you wish to edit on the gift card such as the outstanding balance, expiration date, and comment. You can also view the gift card usage under History.
    ​

  5. Press *Save* in the top right when finished.
    ​
