Resources are tools or equipment like rooms, chairs, or stations that are required for certain services. This article explains how to create and manage resources both on the website and the mobile app, and how they affect scheduling when needed for specific services.


🛠️ Create a Resource

These instructions explain how to create a resource in both the website and mobile app. You’ll learn how to name a resource, assign it to a category, link it to services that require it, and save it so it can be scheduled in appointments.

  1. Click More and then select Resources.

  2. Press the + sign in the bottom right corner.

  3. Enter in the resource Type and Name for the resource.

    • Optionally enter in a Category for the resource.

  4. In the Services section, click into the search bar and type the service that will require the resource in order to be scheduled.

  5. Repeat step 5 for any additional services that will require the resource.

  6. Press Save to finish creating your resource.


📱 Mobile App

  1. Select More.

  2. Select Resources.

  3. Press the + sign in the bottom right.

  4. Enter the Name of the resource.

    • Optionally add a Category for the resource.

  5. Select Add a Service.

  6. Click into the search bar and type the service that will require the resource in order to be scheduled.

  7. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any additional services that will require the resource.

  8. Press Save to finish creating your resource.


📆 Scheduling with Resources

These instructions explain how to schedule an appointment with resources on both the website and mobile app. You’ll learn how to select a client, add services, assign or change a required resource, and finalize the booking.

⚠️ Please Note:

  • When scheduling a service that requires a resource, the software will automatically assign a resource when one is available. If, however, you wish to set a specific resource to be used, then you can adjust that as well. If a resource is not available, you will receive a notification.

  1. Click at the desired start time of the appointment under the column of the employee who will be performing the service of the appointment.

  2. In the Which Pet? field, enter the pet's name, and select the client from the list.

  3. In the What Services? field, enter the service and select a service from the list. Repeat this step for any additional services you wish to schedule for the client.

  4. The resource that was automatically assigned for the service will be listed just under the service. If you wish to change the resource, select Change and select the resource you wish to schedule the appointment with.

  5. Select Schedule to save the appointment.

⚠️ Please Note:

  • For the best experience, scheduling Boarding/Daycare appointments with resources should be done through the website.

  1. From the Appointment book, double-click at the desired start time of the appointment under the column of the employee who will be performing the service of the appointment or tap + in the lower right corner.

  2. Click on Select Existing Pet to bring up the Pet list. Click on the pet when you have located them to add them to the ticket.

  3. Select Add a Service.

  4. Click into the service to change the resource if needed.

  5. Press Save.

  6. Select Book Appointment to finish scheduling the appointment.

Why don’t I see a resource automatically assigned?

Either no resource is currently available at that time, or the service wasn’t linked to a resource. Double check your settings.

Can I use one resource for multiple services?

Yes, as long as the resource isn’t already booked for the same time slot.

Can I edit or delete resources later?

Yes, you can go to More → Resources (website or mobile), find the resource, and make changes as needed.

Can I have resources show on the appointment book?

Resources can be seen on the appointment book via the mobile app, however they are not able to be seen on the appointment book via the website. On the mobile app you will select the resource like an employee to show using the three horizontal lines in the upper right of the appointment book.

What does "no resource available" mean when booking an appointment?

This message appears when you try to schedule a service that requires a resource, but none of the linked resources are available at the selected time.

Common causes include:

  • The resource is already booked for another appointment at that time.

  • The resource has not been linked to the service you're trying to schedule.

  • The resource's available hours don't cover the time you selected.

To resolve this, go to More → Resources, confirm the resource is linked to the correct service, and check the appointment book to make sure it isn't already scheduled at the desired time. If you're using the mobile app, you can view the resource's column on the appointment book by selecting it from the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner.

How do I check if a resource is already booked at a specific time?

On the mobile app, you can view a resource's schedule directly on the appointment book. Tap the three horizontal lines in the upper right of the appointment book and select the resource to display its column. Any existing bookings will appear in the resource's column at the scheduled time.

On the website, resource columns are not visible on the appointment book. Instead, go to More → Resources, select the resource, and review which services it's linked to. If a scheduling conflict occurs, the system will display a "no resource available" notification when you attempt to book.
